Unexpose Selected Nodes Python Script for Substance Designer

Python Script for Adobe Substance 3D Designer

The script reads the current value from each exposed parameter, removes the graph input link, and writes the value directly onto the selected node. This makes it easy to copy nodes between graphs without losing their parameter values.

Features

  •  Converts exposed parameters into regular node parameters.
  •  Preserves the current parameter values.
  •  Works with one or multiple selected nodes.
  •  Does not delete Graph Inputs. (other nodes still use the same exposed parameters)
  •  Easy to use.

Perfect for

  • Copying nodes between graphs
  • Unexposesome some node parameters

Installation

  • Open Window → Python Editor.
  • Load the downloaded Python script.
  • Select one or more nodes with exposed parameters.
  • Run the script.

Recommended: Make a copy of the selected nodes first and test the script on the copy before using it on your original graph.

Compatibility

  • Substance Designer 2020 +
